A motorbike stolen from an address in Guildford was involved in a police chase today (July 28). The chase began in Woking and ended in Stanwell, north Surrey.
Police released details of the chase on social media, saying: “You may have noticed a significant police presence in Stanwell this morning after officers stopped a vehicle (a motorbike) which had made off from police in Woking.
“At around 11.15am this morning, officers were involved in a short pursuit with two motorbikes, one of which had been taken from an address in Guildford earlier that morning.
“One of the motorbikes was stopped on Victory Close, Stanwell, and an 18-year-old man was arrested. He was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. The stolen motorbike was abandoned and recovered by officers.
“A second suspect fled the scene, and we are completing enquiries to locate the individual.”
