This stretch of road has been dangerous for years. We live just off it and every Sunday hear motorbikes well over the speed limit who then have to break hard as they approach the sharp right hand bend at Chalk Lane.
My daughter was involved in an accident at the same junction with Green Dene. A car was pulling out from that road and did not see her green Peugeot coming from Effingham direction along the A246. Luckily both drivers were ok. But if a bright green Peugeot is hard to see then a motorbike travelling at speed is even harder.
