Guildford author Alice Fowler, whose debut collection of short stories was published in July 2023, will mark a year since publication with a special “in conversation” evening event at the Guildford Institute on Friday, July 19, at 7pm.
Alice, who also writes about the arts for The Guildford Dragon NEWS, will read new pieces written since her collection The Truth Has Arms and Legs was published by Fly On The Wall Press last year.
Alice said: “I’m very excited to share some new pieces, especially at the Guildford Institute, as a creative writing class I took there some years ago helped me on the path to being published.
“I’ll be talking to the Institute’s programme manager, Chelsea Eves, who I’m sure will have some interesting questions up her sleeve!
“I love meeting readers, answering questions and hearing responses to my work. Hopefully people will sit back with a glass of wine, relax and enjoy an evening of words and stories.”
Copies of The Truth Has Arms and Legs, which has themes of change, resilience and hope, will be available to buy, and Alice will be happy to answer audience questions.
