Whether you’re a ‘seasoned’ or an ‘armchair’ traveller, Guildford Travel Club welcomes you.
The club meets in Onslow Village Hall at 8pm on the first and third Tuesdays of the month for illustrated talks on travel by a range of photographers, travellers, explorers, mountaineers and writers.

Diana Darke will give a talk on October 4.
The new season begins this Tuesday, October 4, when Diana Darke, author of My House in Damascus: An Inside View of the Syrian Crisis (2016) will take us on a journey into the heart of Syrian society and culture showing rarely seen pictures from all over Syria and unveiling the often surprising realities behind the headlines.

On October 18, Rosie Swale Pope MBE, a former reporter for the Surrey Advertiser, and author of the international best-selling book Just a Little Run Around the World, will talk about her epic solo run around the world, unsupported and facing extreme danger, bitter Siberian winters, wolves, axemen and desolate loneliness during a journey which lasted nearly five years.
Membership for the season, which runs from October to April, costs £32 (student card holders £16). Visitors are welcome and will be charged £7 (student card holders £3.50).
