Notice: Matrix Trust Seeks London Marathon Runner – Plus Christmas Fundraising Quiz

The Matrix Trust is a Guildford-based Christian charity which helps resource youth initiatives emerging from a network of over 30 full-time Christian youth workers – this includes club events, small group mentoring on the University campus, schools involvement, prayer weeks, detached relational youth work and overseas teams.

Matrix has secured one place in the London Marathon next year for someone who would like to help them raise funds for this youth work.

The marathon will take place on Sunday, April 26 and follows a 26-mile course around the River Thames. It welcomes 42,000 athletes to join in the fun whilst raising vital funds for participating charities.

Every year it sells out, with a long waiting list of runners. If you would like to run the London Marathon 2020 on behalf of Matrix, they’ll be right behind you all the way.

The deadline for applications is November 30, 2019.

In the meantime, Matrix will be holding a Christmas Quiz at Emmanuel Church Hall in Stoughton from 7.30pm to 10.15pm on Saturday, November 30.

Start the Christmas festivities with a local choir singing seasonal songs, followed by traditional and interactive entertainment from Quiz Master Dan. Go along with a friend or gather a team.

Tickets cost £10 per person, including light snacks and a seasonal warm drink. You are welcome to bring your own bottle.

There will also be a raffle, with all proceeds going towards projects run by Matrix.
