Cult performance duo Action Hero, recently shortlisted for the Anti International Prize for Live Art, return home after a successful tour to bring their new play Wrecking Ball to Guildford this autumn.
Action Hero’s new play Wrecking Ball
Written and performed by Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse, the play delves into the seedy world of celebrity, where the audience are alternately voyeurs, participants and accomplices, as a male photographer and a female celebrity conduct a photo shoot. Wrecking Ball is a play about power and consent, how images are created and how they destroy.
Action Hero will perform the play at 7pm on Thursday, October 13 at the Ivy Arts Centre, located at the entrance to the University of Surrey campus.
Tickets are £10, £8 (concs) or £2 (student/under 18).
