The Guildford branch of the UK Independence Party is promoting an open meeting to debate the upcoming referendum on membership of the European Union.
The debate will be held in Fairlands Community Hall, Fairlands Avenue, Guildford GU3 3NA on Friday, February 19, from 7.30pm to 10pm.
All are welcome to attend to hear three speakers followed by questions.
The speakers are:
Robert Shatwell, former Surrey police officer and the UKIP’s candidate for Surrey’s police and crime commissioner post in 2012, will speak on defence and security.
Harry Aldridge, UKIP candidate for the Guildford constituency in the 2015 general election, will speak on small businesses.
Diane James MEP, is one of four UKIP Members of the European Union for South East England will speak on prosperity after BREXIT.
Refreshments will be available.

Is it a debate if the whole panel is pro-Brexit?

The ‘IN’ members of the public will be able to question and debate with the panel.

Judging by the replies to the Dragon EU discussion article (and just about everyone I speak to), the leavers among the Guildford residents appear to outnumber those who seem happy to accept the EU and all its’ works, by quite a margin.
Anyway, it might be an interesting meeting.
