Notice: Pancake Races Coming Soon, Tuesday, February 13

Extra sponsors and volunteers are needed, and of course participants as well as mascots can still take part in this year’s Pancake Races in Guildford High Street on Tuesday morning, February 13, starting at 11am.

Hosted by the Charlotteville Jubilee Trust, the event will be raising funds for the Guildford Street Angels, who do a fantastic job for those that find themselves in a vulnerable position in the town at weekends, late at night and in the early hours of the morning.

All money raised on the day will go to the Street Angels.

John Redpath, organiser of the races, says: “The annual Pancake Races have been missed by many and we’re looking forward to bringing this popular event back to the High Street.

“This year, the races will be held during the school half-term holidays and so there won’t be the usual school teams that have had so much fun in past years!”

There will be races for children however, so a ‘flipping good morning’ can still be had by younger visitors.

Registration starts at 10.45am in the Guildhall.

See poster below for more details and you can also email to pancakes@charlotteville.co.uk.
