The Guildford Institute in Ward Street is recruiting for a marketing and communications officer.
It is a full-time position, salary in the region of £20,000 to £25,000 per annum.
The role includes: the development of the Institute’s existing marketing tools, in addition to identifying new and prospective opportunities to promote the Institute to a wider audience. This will be achieved through the creation of marketing content and campaigns, website analysis and development, in addition to partnership building.
The post-holder will lead on marketing the Institute’s brand-new, online programme and in doing so, will increase the Institute’s digital reach.
Using the latest digital marketing techniques such as SEO and Google Analytics, and will gain a deeper insight into how to grow the Institute’s audience both within the local community and beyond.
This analysis will be used to further develop the Institute’s marketing strategy.
The post-holder will hold responsibility for ensuring that key stakeholders such as members and donors receive regular and effectual communications from the Institute.
The Guildford Institute is a membership organisation and community hub providing a wide range of activities to residents of Guildford and the surrounding areas.
On offer is an eclectic programme of events, room hire facilities, and a library complete with a historic archive.
The Institute has operated from its Grade II listed premises for 128 years and while the building is currently closed as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, it has continued to run many of its educational activities online.
