Teenage Suspects Arrested After Report of Indecent Assault

Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident in Guildford town centre yesterday evening (Saturday, May 3).

They were taken into custody and were due to be interviewed today (Sunday).

The boys were arrested after a girl was reported to have been touched inappropriately in Friary Passage, near the Electric Theatre, sometime between 7pm and 8.20pm.

Police said: “The identify of the victim remains unknown and we would like to identify her to check on her welfare. We would also like to speak to any witnesses to the incident as we believe that the girl was part of a larger group of children who then left towards Guildford train station.”
