The Salvation Army in Guildford urgently needs volunteers to help with its food bank.
It is looking for people with a car, who can pick up donations from its collection points at Sainsbury’s in Godalming and from Tesco in Guildford and bring them back to their centre in Woodbridge Road.
Once there, stock will need to be date-checked and put away in the correct areas.
The volunteering needs to take place on Tuesday mornings, since there are staff present at the centre that day.
If you are interested in volunteering, or would like further information, please email Rikke Lofthouse, community manager at the Guildford Salvation Army, at rikke.lofthouse@salvationarmy.org.uk, or contact Voluntary Action South West Surrey by emailing info@vasws.org.uk or calling 01483 504626.

Do you still need volunteers to sort food?
I do not have a car but could volunteer in another way.
I live in the centre of town and am available.
