Worplesdon Parish Council’s annual parish meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, March 10, at 7.30pm.
Parish clerk Gaynor White said: “Interestingly, this isn’t a meeting of the council, we simply facilitate it.
“If you would like to attend the annual parish meeting or parish council meetings and hear what the parish council is doing, please contact me by email at clerk@worplesdon-pc.gov.uk or telephone on 01483 300094.
“The parish council meets monthly and members of the public are always encouraged to attend.”
The speakers this year are:
Your Fund Surrey (Think Big) – which will cover the £100,000,000 funding being made available for capital community projects. In order to be able to access this funding we will need plenty of community support!
The future of the Sime Gallery which is located in Worplesdon Memorial Hall.
A presentation by Wood Street Infant School on how the parish council’s grant towards recreational equipment was utilised.
A presentation by Challengers – again setting out how the parish council’s grant was utilised and the work of this wonderful local charity.
Cllr Snipp will be speaking about the varied role of a parish councillor, in the hope of encouraging more people to stand to be a member.
The chairman will also set out the varied work carried out by the parish council over the past 12 months and how the 2021-2022 precept will be spent.
