The Guildford man arrested in connection with a large scale fly-tipping offence in Kidlington, Oxfordshire has been released pending further investigation.

Normally names of suspects are not released by the police until charges are laid.

A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “Police involvement has finished now. “The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit arrested the man at our request – the Environment Agency doesn’t have powers of arrest for waste crime investigations, only fisheries.

“The man was released on Wednesday, 25 November, pending further investigation.”
