Guildford’s Pancake Races return to the High Street on Shrove Tuesday, February 13.
The Covid pandemic halted the annual races, therefore they make a welcome return this year raising funds for Guildford Street Angels.

Once again organised by the Charlotteville Jubilee Trust, volunteers are needed on the day to make the fun event run smoothly.
The volunteer roles are: stewards, prize organisers and givers, registration helpers and bucket collectors. The event runs from 11am to 1pm.

I wish I could see this and cheer some of the mascots on, but I had work to do and I didn’t want to damage my reputation by going out in the rain and cold to see the mascots.
However, I did see two familiar mascots during the Christmas Lights event on Sunday, the 19th of November, 2023. I had a photo with Steve, the Stag, and the mascot for Kelly’s Storage Space.
Perhaps I will see them another time, when I don’t have work or when it’s my day off.
