The Spinney Children’s Centre in Park Barn is in need of parent volunteers to help out with its crèches while its parent courses are running.

There will be a volunteers’ coffee morning on Wednesday, January 18, from 10am to 11am, where you can find out more details of about volunteering and how you can get started.

The parents courses are held on various days throughout the week. Volunteering can really help with:

building confidence, gaining work experience and training, making new friends and learning new skills.

  • In return The Spinney offers training opportunities such as: first aid, safeguarding and working with children. All volunteers will need to be DBS checked.
  • The role includes helping the staff member set up and clear away, being responsible for ensuring the children’s needs and safety are met and engaging the children in play and activities.

If you’re interested in volunteering contact the Spinney’s volunteer co-ordinator Vicky at vickylea@guildfordgrove.surrey.sch.uk

Tel: 01483 510570.
