Pedestrian in His 20s Dies After New Year’s Day Collision

A pedestrian in his early 20s died on New Year’s Day after a collision involving a car on the Farnham Bypass.

Police were called to Station Hill at 1.10am following reports of the collision at the traffic lights on the bypass between South Street and Station Hill.

The man was taken to hospital where he died around 10am.

Roads were closed to assist the investigation but opened later in the day.

In an appeal for witnesses, Surrey police said: “Were you in the area around the Farnham bypass crossroads between 1am and 1.15am this morning? We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch. We are also seeking CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.

“If you have any information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/45260000053.”
