A number of people were injured following a three vehicle collision on the M25 at Wisley earlier this morning (September 18).
The collision, which caused lengthy tailbacks and led to one lane being blocked, took place at 6.40am on the clockwise carriageway at junction 10.
Emergency services dealing with the incident had to remove the roof of a black Vauxhall Corsa to free the driver, who was taken to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey with spinal injuries.
The drivers of the two other vehicles involved, a bronze Honda Civic and a blue Land Rover Range Rover, suffered whiplash injuries as a result of the incident.
The motorway is now fully reopened and traffic is flowing freely.
Officers are, however, continuing to deal with a collision on the A3 near the Wisley services involving a car and a motorcycle.
The incident, which involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and black Mini Countryman, took place on the northbound carriageway half a mile before the service station around 8.10am.
The motorcyclist, who was in his 50s, was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford with minor neck and back injuries.
Officers are also dealing with a broken down Volkswagen Polo on the northbound carriageway of the A3 one mile past the Guildford junction which was reported around 8.24am.
If you have any information which could assist officers with their enquiries into either of these collisions, contact Surrey Police 101, quoting incident reference number P13285129.
