Guildford’s four most central petrol stations all reported heavy demand for their remaining fuel stocks this evening (31 March). One had run out of all fuel and one was operating on only one pump.

There were no long queues at any of the petrol stations visited, although business was constant at all available pumps. Government advice is that motorists no longer need to top up their tanks when they are half empty.

Here are the results in detail:

Harvest Energy. Junction of Woodbridge and Markenfield Roads. Reported low levels of supply. Staff were hoping for another delivery, perhaps tomorrow (Sunday 1st April).

Shell Garage, Woodbridge Road. No fuel. Expecting a delivery between 12 and 4pm tomorrow (Sunday 1st April).

Total Station, Ladymead. Petrol supplies very low. No diesel. Only one pump appeared to be in operation. Uncertain when next delivery would be received.

Shell Station, Ladymead. Good level of supply. May be another delivery on Monday (2nd April).

Observed this morning (Sunday 1st April). The Total Station at Peasmarsh was still serving all fuels with the exception of higher grade diesel. The BP station in Bramley had a ‘No Fuel’ sign displayed.
