It was the Cheese & Chilli Festival at Shalford Park on Sunday (July 24). Pardon the laboured puns, but I think they’re grate. I like the cheesy approach.
Luckily the weather was fine, not a bit chilli, so no need for those Scotch Bonnets.

“I’m just crackers about cheese!” People flocked to the busy festival, where they could buy cheeses, preserves, chilli sauces, and cooked food.

Festival attendees received a warm welcome at the Wiltshire Chilli Farm stall, where they could hotly pursue their fiery passion for chilli sauce and chutneys.

The festival featured live music from “Big Joe Bone” and “Johnny Marvel’s Blues Grooves”, who played blues classics and a little bit of “R and Brie”. Famous pop star Brieoncé did not make an appearance.

Visitors could buy tresses of Pyrenean garlics, including bulbs which had been cold smoked for ten days.

“Stick ’em with the pointy end!” Alfredo the pirate made balloon pirate costumes for the kids, and of course the odd adult or two.
