Surrey Police is appealing for information after a teenage boy was robbed of his distinctive bright orange bicycle in Guildford last weekend.

The boy had arranged to meet another teenage boy in Southway around 7.45pm on Saturday, January 12 to sell him the bike.

During their meeting, another teenage boy approached them and sprayed them both in the face with an unknown substance before making off with the bike.

The bicycle is described as a bright orange Landrover Dynamic Pure, with a Shimano front brake and a Tektro back brake. There is a copper coil in place of a pin on the front brake. The front suspension has been upgraded and has XCT printed on the side.

Two teenage boys, both aged 15, were arrested in connection with this incident and have been released under investigation.

A police spokesperson said: “We have released a photo of the bike in the hope that it will jog someone’s memory who may have witnessed the incident or have a crucial piece of information which could assist our investigation. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered a bike for sale matching the description above.

“If you can help, please contact us on 101 (999 in an emergency) or http://surrey.police.uk/TellUsMore, quoting reference PR/45190004100.
