Police Cancel Appeal for Missing Man Following Discovery of Body

The search for a 36 year-old-man from Burpham has been called off following the discovery of a body in undergrowth close to Burpham Lane.

“Christopher”, who had links to Cranleigh and Rudgwick, was believed to have left his house at some point between 5am and 8am on Sunday.

Yester day evening significant police activity was reported in Burpham.

A police spokesperson said: “We are cancelling our appeal to find 36-year-old Christopher, who was reported missing from Burpham on Sunday, 3 May.

“A body has sadly been found in an area of Burpham Lane. Formal identification is yet to take place, but Christopher’s next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
