Police officers investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Hazel Avenue, Guildford, on January 9 have cancelled their appeal for the public’s help in identifying the man in this CCTV image.

The man has been traced. The death is being treated as “unexplained”, but police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances and the person pictured is not a suspect.

It was around 7.15am on Friday, January 9, that the police were alerted by a member of the public, who discovered the man’s body outside a residential address in Hazel Avenue, Bellfields. The man who died was identified and was in his 30s.

At the time of the appeal for witnesses, the police said they were trying to trace his movements in the hours before his death and believed the man in the picture could help.
