In a re-run of 24 hours earlier a barrage of early goals set Flames to a lead that would not be overcome on the way to a 9-1 home win.

Just 55 seconds after face-off Tyler Busch sent Flames in front.  Brett Neumann doubled the difference at 1:48 ahead of Cole Sanford, Mathieu Gosselin, Matt Alvaro and Jack Jacome strikes that had the home team up six at the break.

In the middle set Flames added a couple more with former Pitbull Elliot Lewis bagging the seventh and a Karl Boudrias goal seconds from period time to make it an even eight goal difference through 40 minutes.

In the 53rd minute, Pitbulls got on the board through Nils Maskalans but a late Jake Willets marker re-stored the original spread.

Justin Fazio made 11 saves over 40 minutes while Adam long in relief was 13 for 14.  Ben Norton for Pitbulls made 53 saves on 62 shots.

“We started a bit better probably than we did the night before,” said Paul Dixon, head coach.

“We can see a lot of good qualities in our team and hopefully as we progress into EIHL competition, we can build up and improve from here and meet the potential that we believe we have in this dressing room,”

“We look forward to finishing off training camp this week as we head into our final challenge games at home to Coventry Saturday ahead of a visit to their building on Sunday.”
