Pupils from Guildford’s Sandfield Primary School had a great time giving a flower bed at Holy Trinity Church in the High Street a makeover.
The Year 2 pupils removed all the old, ‘leggy’ lavender and planted shrubs and bulbs in the garden at the front of the church.
David Uzzell led the project for the church. He said: “We thank class teacher, Aaron Rubra, the teachers, parents and the children who put so much effort and enthusiasm into making the garden a beautiful space that can be seen and enjoyed from the High Street.
“Projects like this also show our commitment to being an eco-church.”
