Did You See a Serious Collision at Tongham?

police accident sign 2A serious collision on the A331 at the junction with the A31 in Tongham around 11.10am today (June 29) left a male driver trapped.

He was freed by the emergency services and taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting. The single vehicle collision involved a black BMW 1 series which overturned.

Two female passengers were also  treated for minor injuries.

The southbound carriageway of the A331 from the Ash junction and the slip road from the A31 towards the A331 from the Farnham-bound carriageway were closed for several hours while emergency services, including fire and ambulance crews and the air ambulance, dealt with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the car being driven prior to the collision, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P16146070.
