Serious Collision in Wood Street Village

police accident sign 2A serious collision in Wood Street has left a woman in her late twenties seriously injured.

The incident took place at around 7.10pm this evening (June 1) when a silver Ford Focus travelling down Frog Grove Lane left the road and collided with a tree.

The injured driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

Frog Grove Lane was partially closed between the junctions with the A323 Aldershot Road and Wood Street while collision investigators examined the scene.

Surrey Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call them on 101 or the Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922, quoting reference P16123667, or report it online at: http://www.surrey.police.uk/.
