Founded in Keighley in Yorkshire in 1912, Brook Taverner been providing menswear since 1912 and has now arrived in Guildford’s historic High Street.
Manager Richard Davies, said: “We opened in this smart new shop on Thursday, May 7 and the reaction has been amazing. We have had a great reception from our customers. People love the aesthetic of the shop and the atmosphere.”
Why come to Guildford? “It’s steeped in history”, said Richard “and it’s a prosperous and affluent town. We don’t compromise on quality but we are a very affordable product. It’s because we have our roots in wholesale which gives us a head start to lower our prices.”
Brook Taverner now has 17 shops across England and Scotland bringing over a century of expertise direct now to Surrey. And it all sprung from their base in Yorkshire where they still use two local mills for some of their suits.
“We are privately owned and we see quality, service and price as the lifeblood of what we do.” said Richard as he darted around the busy shop. “Come in and see what we have to offer and meet the team. ”
The new Brook Taverner shop is at 78 High Street, GU1 3HE. Opening times are: Monday – Saturday: 9:00am – 5:30pm and Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm.
