Silverbirch Care Home Staff ‘Buzzing’ With Team of the Year Award

Silverbirch House Care Home in Worplesdon has been crowned Team of the Year for the South West Division in the Barchester Care Awards 2026.

The awards celebrate staff who go the extra mile for the benefit of the 14,000 residents living in Barchester Healthcare’s 271 care homes and private hospitals across the country.

Staff at Silverbirch House Care Home in Worplesdon are delighted with their award.

Categories range from Registered Nurse of the Year and Carer of the Year to Dementia Care Champion and Activities Co-ordinator of the Year.

Almost 6,000 nominations were received from homes and hospitals across the UK.

Barchester says all entries were of a very high standard and the Silverbirch House team are “over the moon” to have been named the winners for the South West Division beating hundreds of other nominees.

Louise Jones, general manager of Silverbirch House, said “This is an amazing achievement and the whole home is just buzzing at winning this award. We are so proud.”

Silverbirch House provides residential accommodation, dementia care and respite care.
