Taekwon-do Team Brings Home the Medals

Congratulations go to Spirit Taekwon-do Surrey who traveled to Cardiff last Saturday for the ITF Welsh Open Championships with everyone who participated coming back as winners.

Spokesman and club member Peter Lambert said: “It was a fantastic result of nine medals for only seven competitors after a very early start for the long trip to Wales.

“It was great to see all the hard work and dedication of both students and trainers paying off, with head trainer Damian Smith, also a gold medalist in black belt sparring, extremely proud of his students.”

The Guildford academy of the Surrey group meets at the sports centre at Guildford High School in London Road on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
