A horsebox parked in a farm yard in Effingham has been targeted by thieves who stole the lorry’s seats and mud guards, perhaps to order.
The incident happened sometime between 7.30pm on Tuesday, 12 March and 7.30am the following day when offenders went to the location in Lower Farm Road.
The locks on the white Ford Iveco were forced open and the suspects made off with the lorry’s furniture, a fuel cut off switch and a three wheeled child’s buggy.
The seats are described as being upholstered in a charcoal grey fabric with a herringbone pattern with pink and blue oval shapes on the material and the pushchair is described as blue and black in colour.
Detective Constable Barry Collyer investigating: “This would appear to be an offence in which specific items have been targeted and could have been stolen to order. I am therefore urging anyone who may have any information about their whereabouts to contact me directly.”
Anyone who may be able to help locate the goods is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting GD/13/2020. Alternatively the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
