Traveller Group Leave Bannisters Field

The traveller group that was on Bannisters Field have now left, according to to a council spokesperson.

In a statement she said: “A number of travellers arrived at Bannisters Field on Friday evening (August 30).

“We visited and established a dialogue with the travellers on Friday which continued over the weekend.

“A number of the travellers left the site and a small number remained on Monday morning. We asked the remainder of the caravans to move off the site and the matter was then put in the hands of Surrey Police.

“All vehicles left the site by 7pm on Monday.”
