Two Stabbed in Stoughton

Surrey Police BadgeTwo people received stabs wounds during an incident in Queen Elizabeth Park, Stoughton on Saturday (March 9th).

Police were called to the scene, in Rivett-Drake Close, following a report that two people had received stab injuries.

Both police and ambulance crews were on the scene quickly after the emergency call was made.

A man in his thirties who had sustained a serious abdominal injury was discovered. He was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting where he remains in a stable condition.

A woman in her thirties was also found to have suffered a minor laceration to her back. She was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford but was later discharged.

Officers are carrying out a thorough investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding how the man and woman sustained their injuries.
