Urgent Passenger Alert Issued Following Railway Incident on Portsmouth Line

Train services through Guildford are subject to disruption this evening owing to a person being hit by a train between Guildford and Haslemere.

All lines are reported to be blocked. Emergency services are on site.

South West Trains say services may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Eastleigh. Disruption is expected until 9pm this evening (October 31).

Road transport between Havant and Guildford is being arranged for journeys in both directions.

Southern are accepting our ticket holders on their Victoria – Portsmouth services between Victoria/Clapham Junction & Portsmouth and tickets are also valid on Great Western services between Guildford and Redhill / Gatwick to provide connections to / from Southern services to Portsmouth.

Tickets are also valid on some bus services. If you are travelling from Guildford and Haslemere, tickets are valid on local Stagecoach bus routes 70 and 71 in both directions.

All lines were declared open later in the evening.
