Hospice care charity Phyllis Tuckwell is looking for volunteers to help at its new charity shop and donation centre at Pew Corner, Artington, Guildford.
No experience is needed, just enthusiasm.

Hospice care charity Phyllis Tuckwell’s new large charity shop and donation centre at Artington, between Guildford and Godalming.
Pew Corner sells a wide range of pre-loved items, including ladies’, men’s and children’s clothes, shoes and accessories, books, CDs, DVDs, games, toys, bric-a-brac and even furniture.
On its opening day raised £15,700 for local hospice care!
Volunteers are needed to help with sorting and pricing stock, arranging eye-catching displays, and welcoming and serving customers.

There are plenty of different types of volunteer roles at the charity shop and donation centre.
There is also a large donation centre at the rear of the shop, where volunteers are needed to help greet and take donations from supporters who are dropping items off.
Delivery drivers are also needed, to collect donations and deliver purchases that are too large for donors and shoppers to take themselves, such as items of furniture.
Barry Young, the head of retail at Phyllis Tuckwell, said: “Whether you can spare a few hours a week or on an ad hoc basis, you can make a real difference to helping fund hospice care in your local community — as well as meeting new people, and gaining valuable retail and teamwork experience.

And a great choice of goods on sale.
“Our volunteers are such an important part of our team, helping us raise the money we need to continue providing our vital palliative and end of life care.
“The Pew Corner site has plenty of free parking, and we offer flexible hours to fit in with your other commitments, as well as initial and ongoing training and support.”
