Sparky’s café, based at Guildford’s Farnham Road Hospital and open to all, is aiming for a grant of £5,000 to £10,000 through the Aviva Community Fund to help turn it into a local community hub.
The aim is to bring local people together together and increase social inclusion within Guildford.
If successful, the team at Sparky’s café will set up and run a yearly calendar of fun, informative and interactive events and workshops, all aimed at promoting mental wellbeing, mobility and healthy living within the community.
You can show your support by voting for Sparky’s café project. Every voter is given 10 votes to use throughout the voting process with a deadline of November 21.
A shortlist of finalists will be announced on November 28. The winning projects will be announced in January.
