Where Is This? No.4

Thanks again to all those who replied to last week’s fine pair of pictures. To see their replies click here and then scroll down to the foot of the page.

Most spotted the sports ground in Woodbridge Road in the first picture. The second photo was taken in Stoke Road, on the corner with Martyr Road, when there was a small antiques shop there. The cottages behind still stand.

Can you name this church building in a village on the outskirts of Guildford?

This week I feature a couple of church buildings on the outskirts of Guildford. The one above is probably the easiest to identify. Although the picture postcard view must be about 100 years old, it looks much the same today.

The one below I admit is a little tricky. All I’ll say is that the church building no longer exists, but it was on a Guildford council estate.
