Thanks to all of you who replied last time – all correct. The picture featuring the road cleaning lorry showed Commercial Road looking towards North Street.

The date is on a blue plaque in the High Street and it marks the birth place of the artist John Russell RA. Click here to see No.8 and the comments.

For this time around, let’s stay with that Dennis street cleaning vehicle and look sat another photo of it, but in another road! (See below).

This time, however, I’m not certain where it it. I have an idea, but I’ll leave it up to the eagle-eyed experts!

Not the same view as last time. It is the same vehicle, but which road or street is it in this time?

Here’s another mystery date. Do you know which sign, notice, structure, or whatever it is upon which the date appears? The clue is that it’s another watery connection.

On which sign does this date appear?

If you think you know the answers, leave a reply in the box below. All replies will be posted at the same time in about a week’s time, along with a new post with the answers to this week’s photo and mystery date, and the next pair of images.
