Surrey-based artist Sam B Kennedy at work in the window of Art and Grind – one of the stops on the Guildford Art Trail.
Visitors to Guildford town centre this weekend are being invited to follow the Guildford Art Trail, which is a central attraction of the Guildford Festival of the Arts, running from October 1-4.
People taking part in this creative community event can use a dedicated trail map to explore exhibitions, independent shops, galleries and historic spaces.

Watts Gallery is running a pottery workshop in the Guildhall during the festival. Pictured here is a demonstration by Megan, who works on the engagement team at Watts Gallery
As a fun incentive, visitors who complete the trail map and collect stamps can claim a free drink at local partner pubs, The Star Inn or the Britannia
The Art Trail takes in The Guildhall, St Mary’s Church, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Friary Passage, New House Art Space, Arch and Bloom Sales, The Guildford Institute, Paper Moon bookshop, Art and Grind, the Pocket, Abbots Hospital, the Lighthouse, GLive and the Matrix café.

Guildford Festival of the Arts is a four-day celebration of the visual arts. The event is designed to shine a spotlight on Guildford’s wealth of creative talent.
