Witness Appeal After Road Rage Incident in Guildford

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was punched during a road rage incident in Burpham on Sunday (July 3).

The suspect, who was driving a silver Volkswagen Golf, punched the victim before damaging his car after a disagreement over driving. During the disagreement, the suspect also threatened to kill the victim.

The incident happened outside the Aldi store on London Road sometime between 6 and 6.30 pm.

A 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage, assault on a police officer and threats to kill. He has been released under investigation.

A police spokesperson said; “If you witnessed the incident, or have any information which could help our investigation, including dashcam footage, please contact us quoting PR/45220070908 via:
