Witness Appeal After Silver Mazda in Police Chase Crashes on A3

Police seek witnesses after a collision on the A3 shortly after 2pm today, August 14. Officers were chasing a silver Mazda in response to a 999 call when the vehicle joined the A3 southbound near Painshill, Cobham and begun to travel northbound on the hard shoulder. The Mazda collided with a black Lexus, causing minor injuries.

Officers remained at the scene with South East Coast Ambulance, Surrey Fire and Rescue while managing traffic. The force thanked drivers stuck in jams for their patience and advised those planning to travel in the area to find alternative routes.
