Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted outside Shawfield primary school in Winchester Road, Ash, yesterday afternoon (February 5).
Later, vehicles on the road were damaged in another disturbance.
A 32-year-old man from Ash was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and a 28-year-old woman, also from Ash, was held on suspicion of affray. Both are in custody.
Inspector Andy Hill, Guildford borough commander, said: “The incident unfortunately occurred as parents and children were leaving the school but we would like to reassure the community that the school was not involved and there no risk to the wider public. The school is open as normal today (February 6), and extra officers will be patrolling the area to provide reassurance during drop-off and pick-up times.
“We would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed yesterday’s events who has not already spoken to us to come forward as our investigation remains ongoing and you may have information which could help us.”
