Witnesses Sought Following Incident That Left Cyclist Seriously Injured

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place on Sunday, 12 April.

A cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on a rural lane south of Effingham. No other vehicle was involved.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to Critten Lane, near the junction with St Teresa’s School, just before 1pm, following reports of the collision.

A police spokesperson said; “Were you driving in the area around this time? We would like to speak to anyone who has CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage capturing all, or part of what happened. We are especially interested in tracing the movements of the cyclist, who was riding a green Bianchi bike, prior to the collision.
