Woman Motorcyclist Injured in Wanborough Collision

A woman was injured following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Wanborough.

The accident occurred on Westwood Lane with the junction of Green Lane East and Flexford Road in the area of Christmas Pie, Wanborough. Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened at around 8.18am today (Friday, August 28) and involved a black Toyota Rav 4 and a blue Suzuki motorbike. The rider of the motorbike, a woman in her thirties, has been taken to St Georges Hospital, Tooting suffering from multiple fractures.

Westwood Lane and Flexford Road were closed and motorists were advised to avoid the area while the emergency services attended the scene. It is not known if the roads have yet been re-opened.

Police are requesting anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving prior to the incident to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting incident number P15224901.
