An 11-year-old boy was rushed to hospital this morning (June 30) following a collision involving a motorcycle. Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses.
The boy was taken to Frimley Park Hospital with a fractured skull and injuries to his right leg following the collision, which occurred on the A323 Guildford Road at 7-35am. He was later transferred to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, where his condition is described as serious but stable.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries following the incident but did not receive hospital treatment.
The road was closed for around two hours while emergency services, including the air ambulance, dealt with the incident.
Members of the public, including a nurse, a physical training instructor from the Army, an off-duty police officer and a community first aider, were on scene and were already tending to the boy and the motorcyclist when emergency services arrived.
Police officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who has any other information, to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident number P15168266.
