Police Seek Two Men After Alleged Sexual Assault

Police officers are looking to question two men after a woman, 24, reported that she was sexually assaulted near Guildford railway station at about 3am on Friday (December 18).

The incident is believed to have occurred on a grass verge next to Ranger House in Walnut Tree Close. It is thought the two men left the scene towards Farnham Road. The woman said she was assaulted by at least two men.

Following enquiries, officers believe two men captured on CCTV may hold vital information to this assault and are appealing to the men or anybody who knows their identity to contact them with information.

Detective Inspector, Alick James, said: “This is a despicable incident which has left a young woman in a great deal of distress.

“If you recognise the men in the CCTV image or you are one of the men please get in contact with us.

“I would like to reassure the public that we take these kinds of incidents extremely seriously and are committed to keeping our communities safe and bringing offenders to justice. We have increased our patrols in the area and urge members of the public to remain vigilant when out and about.”
