Police’s CCTV Appeal In Theft Of Purse At Aldi Store in Burpham

Surrey Police are hoping that CCTV footage will help them trace a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a purse from an elderly woman at the Aldi store in Burpham.

The incident took place around 11.15am on December 2, while the 85-year-old victim was shopping in the Aldi supermarket on London Road.

Investigating Officer Lynsey Poole said: “The Aldi store have been especially helpful, not only in assisting the victim on the day, but also by providing us with such good CCTV footage of the incident.

“This footage has been released in the hope that someone may recognise the man, but also to encourage the public to be more vigilant in the hope of preventing similar incidents reoccurring.”
