This was followed by a powerful tribute to Beethoven on March18, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. The programme featured Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor”, performed by soloist Maria Pukhlianko, alongside his celebrated Symphony No. 3.
The season continues through to late May, including two highly anticipated performances by one of London’s leading orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by rising talent Jamie Phillips.

Their first concert will honour composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, raised in Surrey, with his Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. Best known for The Lark Ascending, Vaughan Williams’ music promises an evening that is both familiar and deeply moving.
The orchestra’s second performance, on 29 May, will bring the season to a close with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor featuring British violinist Jack Liebeck.
