Another Record Breaking Month for The Dragon

The Guildford Dragon NEWS had another record-breaking month in October. There were over 175,000 page views and 71,000 visitors.

During October we also saw the 2020 page views figure pass one million. In 2019 there were just over a million for the whole year.

Dragon editor Martin Giles said: “It is obviously good news that our readership continues to grow. We do feel we are the best service for Guildford news and comments we receive back this up.

“Of course, we have to operate within the constraint of available resources and we can’t cover as much as we would like to, but we think we have improved local news coverage and increased the level of engagement with local politics.

“I am particularly proud that we have done this as an independent news service and without resorting to “click bait” or intrusive advertising. I do hope that readers who enjoy reading The Dragon spread the word.

“And I remain very grateful to the team of contributors who give their time so generously. Without them, we could not continue.”

Hugh Coakley the Dragon’s advertising manager added: “I would like to thank our increasing group of advertisers. As our readership increases so does the value of our advertising. Please do help support The Dragon by considering us when thinking of your marketing. Our basic rate of £30 per week, we think, is very competitive and we have several long-term customers who are happy with their results.”
