Assault in Primark, Woman Punched in Face, Police Seek Witnesses

A woman is said to have been punched in the face during an altercation in Primark, in the Friary Centre, on Saturday, (May 30).

Police were made aware of an incident that took place between 4:50pm and 5:05pm, during which there was an argument between two individuals, and a woman was reportedly punched in the face.

A police spokesperson said “We are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault inside Primark.”

“We would particularly like to speak to a white woman described as being around 5ft. 5 inches tall, in her 60s, of slim build and with medium-length brown hair. She was wearing a blue polka dot dress and was pushing an empty pram. We believe she may be able to assist with our enquiries.
