Staff and volunteers at the Guildford Institute’s library are going through its photograph and picture collection, trying to ensure that each featured person has been identified.
After sifting through many images there are just a few who they have not been able to put a name to.
They currently have three people that, despite their best efforts, remain a mystery. Perhaps readers of The Guildford Dragon NEWS can help.
This man who photographed by local photographer Dreweatts. It probable dates to about the first third of the 20th century. He looks like he might be wearing the robes of someone who has received the freedom of the borough of Guildford.
A clergyman no doubt, perhaps from up to 100 years ago. Ever seen a photo of him before?
This might be Guildford’s first woman councillor, pictured in the 1920s or 30s.
